Building an online presence is challenging. Designli.co approached me with a project to create an explainer video that engages quickly. They loved abstract explainers that they've seen in the past and approached me to see if there was a solution.
The Problem: Designlii, a software development company, released a new product called the "Solutions Lab". It was a holistic approach to building custom sites. But they needed hype. No one knew about it.
The Approach: I worked with their Creative Director to work through the feel in an interative process. I'm a big proponent of getting feedback as I go so the end product is perfectly aligned with what the client expects.
Style Development: I built out a few different rough cut scenes in Blender to see what direction they wanted to go, Below are a few neat ones that they liked but we ultimately didn't use.
The Final Deliverable: They were extremely happy with the end product. We ended up only doing 2 rounds of feedback with their CEO and closed the project out in a couple of weeks due to the style dev.
Project Notes:
Some assets were downloaded (chairs, cellphones, figurines) and others hand built but all were animated by myself.
Voiceover was provided by Designlii and was told to not alter at all.
